EDTA  is a kind of white crystalline powder, containing two crystal water, easy to lose crystal water in drying, good water solubility, PH value of 5% aqueous solution is 4-5, difficult to dissolve in ethanol, e t h y l ether and other organic solvents.

EDTA  is a kind of important complexing agent, used for chelating metal ion and separation of metal, the product used for colored light-sensitive materials blix liquid washing processing, and dyeing auxiliary agent, fiber treating agent, cosmetic additives, medicine, foodstuff, agricultural chemical micronutrient fertilizer production, blood anticoagulant, complexing agent, detergent, stabilizing agent, synthetic rubber, polymerization initiator and quantitative analysis of heavy metals, etc. In the chlorination reduction initiation system for styrene-butadiene rubber polymerization, disodium EDTA is used as a component of the active agent to complexity iron ions and control the polymerization reaction rate.
